Meet our President

Our president, Ian C. Mellor, S.E., is a licensed Civil and Structural Engineer and a member of the Structural Engineers Association of San Diego. In 2008, following 20 years of industry experience, he founded Mellor Engineering which focuses on structural and seismic consulting.

Ian’s wide-ranging experience includes structural design, historical preservation, seismic evaluation and rehabilitation, and forensic engineering. His public and private sector design projects include homes, remodels, offices, restaurants, government facilities, and schools. He provided post-earthquake support in Haiti and New Zealand following major earthquakes, and he trains engineers and industry professionals in post-disaster preparedness.
